JAKARTA - Electric motorcycle manufacturer Alva has officially entered into a strategic partnership with Grab and AIZEN Indonesia, expanding the use of two-wheeled electric vehicles in Indonesia, starting from the city of Yogyakarta.

In the initial phase, this collaboration presents starting from 250 units of Alva N3 for Grab driver partners with the support of AIZEN Indonesia as an EV fleet as a service. This initiative aims to provide cleaner, more efficient, and comfortable mobility for the community, as well as accelerating the transition to a sustainable transportation ecosystem.

This collaboration is an important step for the three companies in expanding understanding of the role of electric motorcycles in Indonesia and redefining the ride-hailing experience for the public. If in the past electric motorcycles were often considered as complementary vehicles, now more and more users are choosing them for their main vehicles.

In addition, Alva presents the first Boost Charge Station Technology in Indonesia which allows charging from 10 to 50 percent in less than 30 minutes, and 80 percent in about 50 minutes, so that concerns about the length of charging can be reduced.

Chief Executive Officer Alva Purbaja Pantja, said this cooperation confirms the company's commitment to presenting an integrated electric mobility ecosystem that can be used not only by individual consumers, but also by commercial sectors such as ride-hailing, with a foundation of manufacturing, charging infrastructure, and extensive after-sales service integration.

"We ensure that Alva N3 is able to become the main vehicle for the community," he said in an official statement received, Monday, December 22.

The selection of N3 is not without reason, because it is able to provide optimal comfort and security for Grab driver partners and passengers, through reliable performance for high-intensity daily mobility, because it is supported by a mileage of up to 140 km per charge and a maximum speed of 80 km/h.

Director of Grab Indonesia, Halim Wijaya, revealed that this step brought more accessible sustainable mobility to the people of Yogyakarta, both students, workers, tourists, and UMKM partners.

"Since 2021, Grab has been operating electric vehicles in Yogyakarta, and with the addition of the N3 fleet, we now operate more than 11,000 electric vehicles in various cities in Indonesia," said Halim.

AIZEN Indonesia, as EV fleet as a service helps implement electric vehicles for Grab's fleet, emphasizes the importance of cross-industry collaboration

In addition to Yogyakarta, this collaboration will be expanded to other cities in Indonesia as part of the national roadmap for the transition to electric vehicles.
