Incentives Not Clear, Honda Electric Motor Will Have Massive Discounts Again?

JAKARTA - Electric motorcycle incentives that were enjoyed by a number of producers in Indonesia never got clarity before the end of the year. Will this make Honda give another massive discount to the ranks of its electric motors in the country?

It is known, it is not certain that the incentives for electric motors from the government will quite hamper the sales of electric motorcycle manufacturers. PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) is one of the manufacturers that offers electric motors, assembles locally and receives these subsidies.

However, since the government has not yet provided a continuation of the electric motorcycle incentives, Honda has tried to keep boosting sales by offering discounts. Like last July, a number of dealers gave discounts of up to millions of rupiah.

"Yes, the discount depends on the policy, the conditions and strategies we market a product. I can't say yet whether there will be another discount later or not," said Muhib in Jakarta, recently.

"But what is certain is that this discount is one way to give people the opportunity to have a product," he continued.

Muhib added that this year's discount program showed positive results. In fact, Honda's electric motorcycle sales are claimed to have increased compared to the previous year.

"It's pretty good, but I'm sorry, I can't say the numbers yet. Most CUV e:, but I have to check the data again," he said.

As is known, currently AHM already has a wider product line than before. Like Icon e: which is the cheapest price at IDR 28 million, then there is CUV e: which is Honda's most expensive electric motor at IDR 54.4 million.
