JAKARTA Suzuki is preparing to introduce a number of new motorbikes at the Japan Mobility Show (JMS) 2025 which will be held this month. The Japanese manufacturer has prepared an attractive line-up which includes retro-style electric motorcycles, tiny electric bikes, and ethanol-fueled sports motorcycles.
One of the models that stole the show was the Suzuki e-VanVan, a retro-designed electric motor inspired by the classic 1970s VanVan model.
Despite appearing old-age, e-VanVan carries modern technology and is claimed to have the same performance as a 125cc motorcycle.
"We offer a new way to enjoy electric motors as a fun vehicle," Suzuki's representative said in his official statement.
In addition to electric motors, Suzuki has also prepared two neo-retro-style motors, namely GSX-8T and GSX-8TT. Both are developed from the GSX-8S base with a more classic design but still equipped with modern features.
Carrying a two-cylinder 775 cc engine, this model is claimed to offer a balance between power, comfort, and the typical character of the motor naked Suzuki. Not only will Suzuki focus on large-engine vehicles, but it will also introduce an e-PO electric bicycle aimed at urban mobility.
This electric bike carries a compact design with electric power of 0.25 kW and a distance of more than 30 kilometers.
"Even in the era of carbon neutrality, we want to present a fun and environmentally friendly electric bike," said Suzuki.

On the other hand, Suzuki also showcased other environmentally friendly innovations through the Gixxer SF 250 FFV (Flexible Fuel Vehicle) which could use a bioethenol mixture of up to 85 percent. This technology is Suzuki's move towards efficiency and reduction of carbon emissions.
"By modifying the fuel system and engine control, we present flexible fuel vehicles that can use bioethenol up to 85 percent," explained the Suzuki representative.
In addition, Suzuki is also developing a hydrogen-powered Burgman variant as part of a multi-path strategy towards carbon neutrality. This step affirms the manufacturer's commitment to exploring various alternative energy sources, both electricity, bioethenol, and hydrogen.
All models of the concept will appear for the first time at JMS 2025. Although there is no official information regarding global prices or launch schedules, it is believed that Suzuki will bring some of these environmentally friendly models to the Asian market, including Indonesia, in the near future.
