JAKARTA Honda officially introduces its newest electric motor, Honda WN7, in Europe. With more than 75 years of experience in the development of motorcycles, it is clear that Honda's latest electric motorbike has provoked curiosity.

Honda claims to design WN7 to present a smooth, silent driving sensation, but still delivers adrenaline and excitement like a motor with a gasoline engine.

This model became Honda's first electric motor to carry the concept of a naked bike for the 'Fun' segment, marking Honda's big step in accelerating motorcycle electrification in the global market.

This launch is in line with Honda's big vision of achieving carbon neutrality across its entire products and business activities by 2050, with the target of all Honda motorcycles being carbon neutral by the 2040s.

Citing the Honda Global page, Wednesday, September 17, Honda WN7 is said to be a production version of the EV Fun Concept which was previously introduced at the 2024 EICMA event in Milan, Italy. The name WN7 itself has a special meaning W representing the concept of development of Be the Wind, then N means Naked, according to the design of its motorbike, and 7 shows the class of outputs offered.

Even without the roar of the engine, WN7 is no less powerful. This motorbike is claimed to offer the equivalent performance of 600cc gasoline-fueled motorcycles, with torques that even match 1.000cc motorcycles.

This bike is equipped with a fixed lithium-ion battery that supports CCS2 charging standards, allowing for fast charging from 20 to 80 percent in just 30 minutes. For charging at home, the battery can be fully charged in less than 3 hours.

With a full time, Honda WN7 can cover more than 130 km, enough to accompany daily travel or short touring.

WN7 appears with a sleek and futuristic design, confirming its identity as a modern electric motor. The instrument panel uses a 5-inch TFT screen connected to the Honda RoadSync application, allowing motorists to access navigation, notification, to live music from motorcycles.

Honda says WM7 is priced in Europe at a "on the road" of 12,999 pounds, equivalent to IDR 291 million, while production will begin at the end of 2025 and arrive at dealers around the beginning of 2026.
