JAKARTA The rapid development of the times brings new challenges in various industrial sectors, including automotive. To answer this challenge, the younger generation is required to be ready and adaptive to change. Seeing the importance of the role of education in preparing future talents, PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) together with Main Dealer for Honda Jakarta-Tangerang motorcycles, PT Wahana Makmur Sejati (WMS), held an educational activity entitled Astra Honda Sharing Science (AHBI).

The event which took place at SMK Negeri 53 Jakarta, Tuesday, June 10, became a bridge between the world of education and industry, as well as a tangible form of AHM's commitment to supporting relevant and industry standard vocational education.

Through AHBI, vocational students are invited to directly explore the latest automotive technology. They are not only invited to see learning spaces and industrial facilities, but also interact directly with the AHM vocational team who share knowledge about motorcycle components, work systems, to advanced technologies such as Honda RoadSync.

With an interactive approach, students seem enthusiastic about absorbing new knowledge which is an important provision to enter the Business World and the Industrial World (DUDI) after graduation.

"Technology continues to grow, and we don't want students to be left behind. With briefings like this, we hope they are more ready to compete," said Dwi Supriyatno, Head of Technical PT Wahana Makmur Sejati, in an official statement, Friday, June 13.

AHM and WMS' commitments do not stop with the support of practical equipment or industrial-based curriculum through the Honda Motorcycle Engineering (TSM) program. They are also actively providing direct assistance, ensuring students not only have technical skills, but are also able to adapt to the changing world of work.

Dwi emphasized that the best investment at this time is in education, in line with the spirit of synergy for the country carried by Honda.

"We believe that collaboration between the world of education and industry will have a major impact on the progress of the nation," he added.

This activity at SMK Negeri 53 Jakarta is part of a major AHM development program for hundreds of fostered vocational schools throughout Indonesia. Through a consistent and comprehensive approach, AHM together with the Main Dealer network throughout Indonesia continues to encourage the birth of a superior generation with equal competence, both in theory and in practice.
