IIMS 2025 Becomes The Kawasaki Stage Launching 2 New Motors, Anything?

JAKARTA - Entering the final week of the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2025 exhibition, PT Kawasaki Motor Indonesia launched two retro and classic motorcycles.

Two models launched by Kawasaki for the Indonesian market are W230 and MEGURO S1, which are indeed present with a touch of Japanese heritage. Its presence is also part of the company's commitment to present retro two-wheeled vehicles.

"As a brand known as the Ninja brand and produce quality products, we present W230 and MEGURO S1 as authentic retro motorbikes with a touch of Japanese 'heritage'," said PT KMI Head Sales & Promotion Michael C. Tanadhi, in a statement to the media, Friday, February 21.

Details of Kawasaki W230 and MEGURO S1

Kawasaki W230 has a retro-style instrument panel inspired by W. A gasoline tank with an elegant design equipped with a 3D W emblem. MEGURO S1 has a classic draft instrument panel, a mix between analogue and digital, given the MEGURO logo, meanwhile a gasoline tank with plated chrome, tank shield and 3D MEGURO emblem.

Machines And Performance

Both models are equipped with a 4-tak engine, SOHC with a capacity of 233cc, which is capable of generating 18k of power at 7,000 rpm and 18.6 Nm of torque at 5,800 rpm. The presence of the machine provides a new experience for customers.

By design, both are equipped with round lights and a black and chrome main light cover, a gasoline tank that resembles water drops, an exhaust with a steam shooter design that produces distinctive sounds and engines typical of MEGURO SG machines. With some detailed touches in some parts of W230 and MEGURO S1, the progress thickens the retro image of the product.

Price

Speaking of the price, W230 is marketed at a price of IDR 72.6 million and MEGURO S1 is marketed at a price of IDR 79.2 million. This price is for the Jakarta area.
