Not Yet Launching An Electric Motorcycle In Indonesia, This Is What Yamaha Said

JAKARTA - Yamaha has yet to sell electric motors, while other Japanese manufacturers have started bringing various line ups.

Of course not a few have asked when Yamaha Indonesia launched an electric motorbike in the country? Answering this, Dyonisius Beti, President Director and CEO of PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM), spoke up.

He revealed that currently Yamaha is preparing an electric motorbike for the Indonesian market, and talking about products is now ready and good.

"We are also preparing, to be honest talking about our products is ready to be good," he said, during the launch of the new variant of Yamaha Fazzio Hybrid, in the Jakarta area, Friday, October 11.

He further said that the current price of electric motorcycles is still relatively expensive, how it can be reached by customers in Indonesia.

"Because the price is still expensive, how can Indonesian customers reach it. They don't want to buy motorbikes that are too expensive," he added.

On the same occasion, Takaaki Karya, Deputy Director of PT YIMM said that currently Yamaha sees carbon neutrality as very important, and is currently still being studied.

"The position of carbon neutrality is very important. Electric is not the only solution, and we are still studying it," said Takaaki happened.
