Vespa Launches Limited Edition 946 Dragons To Celebrate Chinese New Year 2024

JAKARTA - In celebration of Chinese New Year 2024, Vespa wants to commemorate it with a unique and interesting model.

In accordance with the Year of the Dragon, Vespa has introduced a limited edition 946 Dragon wrapped in gold. This special edition of the scooter will be exhibited exclusively in Hong Kong on January 24, 2024.

Made by hand in Italy, each edition features stylized writing that tells of the years of dragon celebrations on the Lunar calendar featuring a visibly alivezarud green dragon, painted according to a picture of a traditional Chinese dragon.

Reported by Rideapart, January 22, Vespa 946 Dragon will be limited to 1,888 units, and will be available in key markets, including the US and Canada.

Meanwhile, Dragon's Vespa 946 engine uses an impressive 946 Vespa base. This is one of the most luxurious models in the Vespa catalog, and powered by 150cc engines, air conditioning, fuel injection, four valves. The machine is set to generate 11.3 hp and 10.7 Nm torque. It also gets modern equipment such as LED lights, dual-channel ABS, and digital instrument clusters.

Not only that, various accessories were also presented for this one model, as well as this elegant gold-sized helmet decorated with three-dimensional dragon graphics reflecting the Vespa 946 Dragon body, decorated with bright green nuances.

In addition, there is also a back bag made of materials that match the saddle. Made in Italy, specially designed for the Vespa 946 Dragon, to be used together with a rear bag buffer, sold separately.

Expressing Vespa's first exploration into the fashion world, Dragon Varsity jackets are also made as collectors' works, featuring timeless silhouettes such as Vespa's legacy.

For prices and availability, Vespa has announced that 946 new Dragons will be in the US in March 2024. The price is quite expensive at US$13,499 per unit, equivalent to Rp211 million.

Meanwhile, in Canada, the scooter will be launched in April 2024, and priced cheaper at 16,995 Canadian dollars or around Rp197 million.
