JAKARTA - The popularity of maximum-scooters in Europe is now increasing. The type of motorbike that combines motor touring features and scooter convenience is considered more significant and many rely on it as the main means of mobility.

Wottan, a two-wheeled vehicle manufacturer from Spain, which is not as popular as big brands such as Yamaha and Kymco, is ready to compete with these manufacturers in the European market through the launch of the latest maxi-scooter.

According to a report by Rideapart, Wednesday, June 7, Wottan has released Storm-R 300 as their flagship maxi-scooter. To produce this vehicle, Wottan collaborated with a Chinese company called Taro, especially for its advanced technology sector.

Some of the technologies and features contained in Storm-R 300 include a maned grip that increases driving comfort in cold weather.

The bike is also equipped with a flat light to improve visibility in dim light conditions, TFT instrument clusters that provide technical information about the bike, as well as an unlocking motorcycle exhaust system.

In terms of performance, these maxi-scooters use a 278 cc capacity engine capable of producing up to 26.5 dk of power and 23.2 Nm of torque.

Wottan Storm-R 300 will soon be available at Italian dealers in the coming weeks. In Europe, this bike will compete with Yamaha XMAX and is priced at around 4,900 euros or around Rp. 78.2 million.

This price is indeed higher when compared to Yamaha XMAX which is sold in Indonesia for around Rp. 62.5 million. However, it should be noted in the European market, the price of XMAX is higher with a tag of around 5,999 euros or around Rp. 95.8 million.
