JAKARTA - Succeeding in Jakarta, BYD Indonesia continued the national BYD Tech Culture Fest 2026 roadshow series in Medan, while showing the company's commitment to bringing the experience of new energy vehicle technology closer to the community.

Medan was chosen as one of the largest cities in Sumatra with a diverse mobility character, this allows the community not only to see vehicles, but also understand the technology, feel the performance directly, and explore the ecosystem of new energy vehicles in one integrated experience.

President Director of PT BYD Motor Indonesia, Eagle Zhao, said the character of Indonesian people's mobility, including in the Sumatra region, is very diverse. Therefore, BYD believes that technology needs to be felt directly so that people can understand how new energy vehicle innovations can answer various daily usage needs, ranging from urban mobility to long-distance travel with challenging routes.

BYD's presence in Medan is based on the growth of the adoption of electric vehicles in North Sumatra which has increased significantly in recent years, making this region one of the markets with strong potential for the development of new energy vehicles. As one of the main gateways to Sumatra, Medan also has a strategic role in expanding access and public understanding of more inclusive electrification technology in various regions of Indonesia.

One of the main areas in the BYD Tech Culture Fest Medan 2026 is the Technology Zone, which is designed to help visitors understand BYD's new energy vehicle technology more easily and interactively. In this area, visitors can explore the technological character of DM through four main zones, namely Agile, Reliable, Silent, and Super Fuel-Efficient. Each zone presents a different approach to show how BYD technology is able to provide a balance between performance, efficiency, comfort, and flexibility of use in various mobility conditions.

In addition, BYD also presents various major technology displays such as Blade Battery, e-Platform 3.0, and DM Technology Display which allows visitors to take a closer look at various components and innovations that are the foundation of BYD's new energy vehicle development.

Through a combination of visual installations, interactive displays, and guidance from product experts, visitors can gain a more comprehensive understanding of the technology used in BYD vehicles.

Various driving experiences are also presented to give visitors the opportunity to experience the character of BYD and DENZA vehicles directly in various usage scenarios. One of the attractions that is the focus of the Medan event is the Drifting Experience, which allows visitors to witness the vehicle's control capabilities firsthand through dynamic and attractive driving demonstrations.

Visitors can also try Monster Track, an off-road simulation area that uses the DENZA B5 to showcase the vehicle's ability to face various obstacles and challenging road conditions. Meanwhile, the Agility Test Drive area provides visitors with the opportunity to try out various BYD vehicle lines and experience the acceleration character, cabin comfort, handling, energy efficiency, and various smart features that BYD vehicles have in everyday use.
