Chery Opens Opportunity to Introduce J6 EREV to Indonesia, Launching This Year?

JAKARTA - The Indonesian automotive market seems very interesting, evidenced by the fact that various manufacturers continue to present the latest models that carry superior technology. Including brands from China namely Chery.

Chery is expected to be preparing the latest product for the Indonesian market. The model in question is the Fulwin X3L (in the Chinese market) or known as the J6 version of the Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV).

Not without reason, because not long ago it was suspected that the J6 version of EREV was caught on camera while testing the road in Indonesia. This refers to a short video shared on Instagram @otokuliner.

So is Chery preparing the model to be present in Indonesia? Responding to this, the President Director of Chery Group Indonesia, Zeng Shuo, spoke up.

"It will also be in our future, there is a possibility of launching this year," he said when met in the BSD area, Saturday, May 23.

According to him, J6 EREV has various advantages such as EV mode can travel up to 180 km more and the combination of the engine can reach a total of 1,000 km more.

"The acceleration is only 5 seconds," he added.

Referring to the Chinese market, this car comes with dimensions of 4,545 x 1,950 x 1,815 mm and a wheelbase of 2,783 mm. This SUV has impressive power specifications. The 1.5L turbo engine with 115 kW (154 hp) works with two electric motors that produce a combined power of 315 kW (422 hp) and a peak torque of 505 Nm.

The battery is available in two options, 20.638 kWh and 33.679 kWh. The EREV system allows the gasoline engine to act as a generator to recharge the battery while driving, so users remain comfortable without worrying about running out of power on long trips.

Of course, it is very interesting to wait for the presence of J6 EREV in the Indonesian market.
