JAKARTA - Xpeng is confirmed to launch its premium MPV, the X9, which received an update on March 2, 2026, for the battery electric vehicle or BEV version.

"Later, the X9 BEV 2026 will be fully in line with the long-distance electric vehicle (EREV) version of the X9 launched in November 2025 in terms of energy efficiency, space, safety, and comfort," Xpeng said on Weibo.

The new X9 BEV MPV offers a maximum CLTC range of 750 kilometers, which Xpeng claims makes it the 'world's first seven-seat pure electric long-distance'.

This model will be equipped with an 800V high-voltage platform, 5C ultra-fast charging capability, active rear wheel steering, and double-chamber air suspension.

As well as being embedded with the company's in-house developed Turing AI chip, it provides a maximum computing power of 2250 TOPS for its smart driving system.

Pre-orders for the 2026 X9 BEV start in late January, though pricing details remain undisclosed.
