JAKARTA - BYD's new sub-brand, Linghui, officially released the first image of its debut model, the Linghui e9 electric sedan. This model is claimed to be able to travel up to 605 kilometers on a single charge.

Linghui itself was officially introduced on February 2 with a vision of redefining mobility through technological innovation, and is aimed at meeting the needs of the public transportation market. Starting from taxis, online transportation services, vehicle rental companies, to government fleets.

In addition to the Linghui e9, China's MIIT authorities have also revealed three other models under the Linghui brand, namely the Linghui e5, Linghui e7, and Linghui M9. The "e" series is fully electric, while the M9 is the only model with plug-in hybrid technology.

Based on official images and registration documents, the Linghui e9 adopts a design approach reminiscent of the early generation of the BYD Han. The front features a large chrome-plated matrix-motif grille, combined with a sharp-characterized separate headlight.

From the side, the Linghui brand logo is visible on the chrome trim, with the use of conventional door handles and black alloy rims. This car uses 245/50 R18 or 245/45 R19 tires, depending on the variant.

At the stern, the Linghui e9 is equipped with a long-stretched integrated taillight, complete with a red reflector on both sides of the bumper. The "Linghui EV" emblem is attached in the middle of the trunk door, while the "e9" marker is in the lower right corner.

For its dimensions, this electric sedan has a length of 4,995 mm, a width of 1,910 mm (or 1,940 mm depending on the variant), a height of 1,495 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,920 mm, which places it in the mid-sized sedan class.

As reported by Carnewschina, Thursday, February 19, regarding performance, the Linghui e9 relies on an electric motor placed in the front with two power output options, namely 135 kW (181 hp) and 150 kW (201 hp).

Its energy source comes from BYD's Blade lithium iron phosphate battery, with a capacity of 60.5 kWh and 64.315 kWh. Both battery options are claimed to be able to produce a range of 535 km and 605 km based on CLTC testing.
