This is a Line of ADAS Features of the Suzuki Fronx that Helps Drivers to Be More Relaxed in Traffic Jams

JAKARTA - Suzuki Fronx is one of the models exhibited at the 2026 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS 2026). The presence of Suzuki's latest crossover, which is quite popular in the market, attracted the attention of visitors thanks to the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) technology packaged in the Suzuki Safety Support package.

This feature provides significant benefits to drivers in several situations, one of which is facing urban traffic jams. Suzuki Fronx total has 12 ADAS functions.

"In this new Fronx model, there are 12 sensors (cameras) that can monitor all areas around the vehicle," said Department Manager In Charge ADAS Control Development Dept. Ryuichi Yamane, not long ago.

The ADAS system on the Suzuki Fronx has been adjusted to the character and road conditions in Indonesia. Suzuki Safety Support is also designed to be able to detect the presence of cyclists, motorcyclists, and pedestrians, so that it is more relevant to use in the middle of traffic density.

One of the features that feels the most benefit when stuck is Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC). This feature allows the car to maintain speed while maintaining a safe distance with the vehicle in front without the driver having to step on the gas or brake continuously.

When traffic stops completely, the ACC on the Suzuki Fronx even remains active at speeds of 0 km/h, then resumes following the vehicle in front when the flow starts moving. The stop-and-go condition, which is usually tiring, is more relaxed.

ACC works side by side with Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) to keep the car in the middle of the lane. The combination of the two makes drivers not get tired quickly when they have to crawl for a long time on toll roads or arterial roads. Even so, the system still asks drivers to hold the steering wheel periodically as a form of active supervision.

Other safety features such as Autonomous Emergency Braking (DSBS II) also play an important role in heavy traffic conditions. This system will perform automatic emergency braking when a potential collision is detected from the front, so as to reduce the risk of multiple accidents that often occur when stuck.

In addition, the presence of a Head Up Display (HUD) helps drivers stay focused on the road without having to frequently look down at the instrument panel. In dense traffic jams and full of sudden maneuvers, the Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Lane Departure Prevention (LDP) features provide warnings and steering corrections if the car goes off the road without a signal.

Then there is the Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) which is useful when changing lanes slowly in the middle of the density, while the Vehicle Swaying Warning (VSW) will warn the driver if it is detected to be swaying due to fatigue. For maneuvering in narrow spaces, such as parking in shopping centers or entering and exiting parking areas during rush hours, the Suzuki Fronx is equipped with a 360 View Camera, Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), and parking sensors.

These features help drivers monitor the condition of the vehicle and provide warnings when objects pass behind when reversing. All ADAS packages are available on the highest variant of the Suzuki Fronx in Indonesia, namely the SGX trim. With this technology, Suzuki Fronx not only offers comfort, but also extra safety and peace of mind when having to deal with daily traffic jams on Indonesian roads.
