Chery Indonesia officially launched its latest model, the C5 CSH, in the country as part of the expansion of the electrification vehicle line. Utilizing the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2026 exhibition stage, this hybrid SUV is offered at a price of Rp399.9 million on the road (OTR) Jakarta.
The launch took place at JIExpo Kemayoran, Thursday, February 5. The presence of C5 CSH also marked Chery's aggressive move to strengthen its portfolio of environmentally friendly vehicles in Indonesia.
"As a step for Chery to strengthen its portfolio of environmentally friendly technologies, welcome the C5 CSH to complete the hybrid product lineup in Indonesia," said Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI) Marketing Director Budi Darmawan at the launch.
This model carries Chery Super Hybrid (CSH) technology which combines a conventional engine and an electric motor in one platform. The C5 CSH is positioned as a vehicle with two characters, the typical efficiency of an electric car and the flexibility of a gasoline engine.
The concept is summarized by the slogan "One Car Two Vibes" displayed in the exhibition area, representing Chery's approach to providing adaptive mobility solutions for urban Indonesian consumers. Chery C5 CSH gasoline engine is said to be the fifth generation of the 1.5 TGDI type.
Based on his claim, the pacemaker is able to provide thermal efficiency of up to 44.5 percent. The vehicle power burst is claimed to be 105 kW or 140 hp with a peak torque believed to be 215 Nm.
Then the Wuji Hybrid Transmission system and the C5 CSH electric motor are believed to be able to spray 150 kW or 201 hp, while the peak torque produced is 310 Nm. Based on the manufacturer's claim, the vehicle will rely on pure electric mode if it reaches a speed of 0 - 40 km/h.
Chery C5 CSH is equipped with cutting-edge safety technology divided into three main pillars. First is the Intelligent Driving Function which includes 14 proactive ADAS features such as BSD (Blind Spot Detection), LCA (Lane Changes Assist), RCTA (Rear Cross Traffic Alert), AEB (Autonomous Emergency Braking) and FCW (Forward Collision Warning).
Then there is also ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control), LDW & LDP (Lane Departure Warning & Prevention), IHC (Integrated Highbeam Control), DAI (Drive Away Information), TJA (Traffic Jam Pilot) & ICA (Integrated Cruise Assist), ELK (Emergency Lane Keeping) to IES (Intelligent Dodge System).
Second there is Intelligent Driving Assistance (Visualization System). The driver will be visually assisted through the instrument panel. Third there is Intelligent Driving Control which relies on 360 Visual Parking Assist HD, then also supported by Semi-transparent Mode.
