JAKARTA - PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales officially opened a new page in the national automotive market by introducing its first electric car in Indonesia, the Suzuki eVitara, which made its public debut at the 2026 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) today.

Deputy Managing Director of PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales, Donny Saputra, emphasized that the presence of eVitara is not merely a launch of a new product, but a representation of Suzuki's future direction in Indonesia.

"Today we are not only showing off new vehicles, but presenting the future of Suzuki in Indonesia," said Donny at the launch ceremony at JIExpo Kemayoran, Thursday, February 5.

Despite carrying electrification technology, Suzuki still maintains the basic character of the eVitara as a true SUV. Donny said, the metal beast design carried was specifically designed to answer the challenges of Indonesia's diverse landscape, ranging from urban to cross-regional travel.

"Despite being equipped with an advanced powertrain, the eVitara's soul is firmly rooted in the SUV DNA," he added.

The Suzuki eVitara can now be ordered by Indonesian consumers with a starting price of Rp755 million for the single tone variant, and Rp758 million for the dual tone version.

"We created a nimble SUV for urban mobility, but it is still comfortable and reliable for long-distance travel," concluded Donny.

For visitors who want to see and get to know the Suzuki eVitara, this latest electric model can be seen at the 2026 IIMS exhibition which will take place from 5 to 15 February in Kemayoran.
