Suzuki Indonesia Reveals the Launch of the AWD Electric SUV e-Vitara, February 5?

JAKARTA - PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) currently has a variety of environmentally friendly car (mild hybrid) lines, and plans to launch a pure electric car in the first quarter of this year, the car is none other than the Suzuki e-Vitara.

It is predicted that the car will be launched at the prestigious Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2026, which will take place on February 5.

"Indeed, at the beginning of last year we announced that there would be one EV product. So regarding this information, soon on February 5, we hope you will be patient because we will inform you further," said Deputy Managing Director of Sales and Marketing 4W Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS), Dony Ismi Himawan Saputra, during a media gathering event, in the Jakarta area, Thursday, January 29.

Furthermore, he revealed, regarding how much it costs (eVitara) and what it will be like, Suzuki will convey it in the near future, and soon we will provide the information.

As is known, the Suzuki eVitara itself is already present in India which was launched at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, and Suzuki Indonesia itself has exhibited this car at several exhibitions in Indonesia.

In terms of specifications, the Suzuki e Vitara has a total length of 4,275 mm, a width of 1,800 mm, a height of 1,635 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,700 mm. As an SUV, the e Vitara's ground clearance reaches 180 mm.

The car packs a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, with two capacity options, namely 49 kWh and 61 kWh torque. There is a difference, the larger battery version gets the AllGrip-e dual-motor option or Suzuki's All Wheel Drive (AWD) system.

There are also several interesting features embedded, such as Suzuki Safety Support (SSS), which of course comes with several completeness including Advanced Driving Assistance System (ADAS) Level 2, consisting of Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) & Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR), and Lane Departure Prevention.
