Fang Cheng Bao Sporty Sedan Caught Testing, Ready to Launch Next Year

JAKARTA - BYD's subbrand Fang Cheng Bao is preparing its first sedan from the brand, which is predicted to launch next year.

Ahead of its launch, the sedan was caught on camera being tested on the road, as quoted from the Autohome website, Monday, December 29. The sedan was seen covered in full camouflage on all parts.

In terms of appearance, this vehicle has a very dynamic overall design, featuring a covered front, oval headlights on both sides, and a large air hole in the lower bumper.

A lidar sensor will also be installed on the roof indicating that this sedan will later be equipped with advanced driver assistance technology. The side has a hidden door handle, and the roof line shows a sloping silhouette.

Meanwhile, the back is expected to feature a set of integrated taillights and an electrically operated spoiler.

It is estimated that the model will be a new series for the brand and named Magnesium 9. Previously, the brand had released the SUPER 9 concept car, and it is estimated that Magnesium 9 will take inspiration from it in its overall design.

Meanwhile, according to Hiluckev, Fang Cheng Bao shifted its focus to offering more "emotional value" and a better price-performance ratio with this upcoming "Magnesium 9" sedan.

This strategy aims to seize the market that likes BYD technology but demands a better price than the current Han L. With the presence of a new series, it is certainly an interesting choice.
