JAKARTA - The Great Wall Motor (GWM) will launch a 300 Polar Edition Tank on December 10, with global production limited to 300 units and can be an option for those who want to look different.

Based on a report from Carnewschina, quoted on Monday, December 8, the model, which was first featured on the Guangzhou Auto Show, is an extensive modified 300 Tank derivative, as the name implies, aimed at users operating in very cold or remote environments.

Meanwhile, according to local Chinese media Autohome, this vehicle has previously been designated as a product approved for China's pole scientific team and has now opened to preorder to the public.

The Polar Edition displays the exterior color of the Special Orange Polar, exclusive stickers, and special edition logos to distinguish it from the standard model. Interesting isn't it?

This vehicle is positioned as a special vehicle for users who need enhanced operational capabilities in low-temperature areas, heavy snow, or challenging terrain.

Three functional enhancement packages will be available. Such as a winter protection package adding a heating windshield and a heating spray nozel to reduce the risk of freezing and condensation at temperatures below 30$C.

The snow request package includes AT tires of all terrain to increase traction in snow, ice, and surface with another low grip.

Finally, the recovery package completes the vehicle with a long-distance controlled winch and a 2.5-tonne attractor rating designed for self-repair or assistance in off-road conditions.

The model is expected to maintain a diesel version of the engine configuration. The car uses a 2.4 liter turbocharged diesel engine that produces 186 horsepower and 490 Nm torque, combined with an automatic transmission of nine accelerations. This combination has undergone operational tests in Antarctic conditions and has previously demonstrated reliable cold start performance and stable power distribution.
