LFA Lexus Reborn As Electric Power Supercar

JAKARTA - Lexus has again rocked the automotive world featuring the LFA Concept, a future supercar that is fully electric. Even without the legendary V10 engine mix from LFA, his spirit remains the same.

In an official statement from the company quoted on Saturday, December 6, LFA Concept is a BEV sports car developed with the performance division of Toyota Gazoo Racing, especially from the GT GR line. This model stands on the same evolutionary line as the first generation Toyota 2000GT and Lexus LFA.

Born from the 'Shikinen Sengu Toyota' philosophy, namely the tradition of continuing carbuilding techniques and expertise to the next generation of engineers, as well as continuing to improve it. The development of the LFA Concept goes hand in hand with two other high-performance cars Toyota Gazoo Racing: GR GT and GR GT3.

No wonder the characters and technical approaches of the three seem to be intertwining. Lexus places three main pillars as the foundation, namely a low center of gravity, light weight with high stiffness, and focuses on aerodynamic efficiency.

This car adopts various techniques used in GT and GT3 GR, then combines them with the potential of a powertrain of electricity. The constructor base uses a light and very stiff aluminum frame, accompanied by a driving position designed to provide a sense of unity between the driver and the vehicle.

As a brand that first leads electrification in the premium segment, Lexus tries to present sports cars that are not only environmentally friendly, but also emotional driving. Not only present for the present, but also projected to become a new icon for the next generation.
