JAKARTA - Kia continues to be on the straight track presenting electric vehicle lines, even though the market has been experiencing a slowdown lately.

Quoting from the Autoindustrya page, Thursday, December 4, the South Korean manufacturer had introduced the EV2 concept earlier in the year, and the concept car will be a production vehicle starting next year.

Before opening the sheath in more detail, Kia has released its first teaser image which means it has been confirmed for production in the near future, or made its official debut at the Brussels Motor Show 2026 on January 9.

Based on the teaser photo released by Kia, the EV2 production version will be very similar to the concept design. Although still using the sheath, Kia clearly made some minor changes to the EV2 display.

For starters, the LED rearlight has been redesigned and now displays a design inspired by Sonet. This light is also equipped with the characteristics of the "Star Map" light which is now familiar. The result is a more prominent front facility thanks to the LED headlights and daytime running light that is attracting attention.

European Kia President & CEO, Marc Hedrich, said with EV2 the company reaffirmed our commitment to making electric mobility truly accessible to a wider audience without compromise.

"This compact SUV presents our bigger innovation and spirit of EVs as well as uniting with everyday life in Europe," he said.

"Dedesigned, developed, and will soon be produced in Europe, we believe that EV2 will play an important role in shaping the future of responsible mobility throughout the region," he added.
