Nissan N6 PHEV Officially Launches In China, Will Be Marketed Globally And Prices Start At IDR 200 Million

JAKARTA - Known on October 17, finally the collaboration between Nissan and Dongfeng (Dongfeng Nissan) officially launched N6 PHEV in China on Monday, December 1, with prices starting at 99,900 yuan or around Rp235 million.

Quoting Carnewschina, this PHEV sedan is the first model of the N series to be present outside the line of pure electric vehicles that have been marketed previously.

Interestingly, Nissan N6 PHEV is also being considered for release on the Southeast Asia, Middle East, and parts of Latin America markets. Indonesia could be included in the list.

Taking a closer look, Nissan N6 PHEV carries a similar design language to Nissan N7 which is fully electric. The front fascia looks futuristic with a closed grille, elongated upper lampbar, L-shaped main light, NISSAN emblem, hidden door handle, and an integrated charging port on the rear panel.

The back comes with a coupe-style profile, a see-through rear light, and a clean bumper without a exhaust hole visible.

In dimensions, Nissan N6 PHEV has a length of 4,831 mm, a width of 1,885 mm, a height of 1,494 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,815 mm, placing it as an intermediate sedan. The color choices vary, from Sunlight Gold, Mirage Silver, Wind-colored Purple, Rock Gray, Obsidian Black, to Pearl White.

Entering the interior, the N6 cabin presents a touchscreen floating in the middle and a digital instrument cluster, with a choice of bright or dark nuances. Entrance-level variants are equipped with LED lights, automatic headlights, rear cameras, 10.25-inch instrument panels, 14.6-inch central screens, as well as Qualcomm Snapdragon-based infotainment system 8155.

In higher variants, additional LED lights are available in the form of adaptive LED lights, ambient lighting, panoramic sunscreen with manual flares, 540 degree surround-view cameras, and other features.

For its performance, N6 PHEV relies on 1.5 liter gasoline machines combined with electric motors, powered by a 21.1 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery made by local Chinese manufacturers.

This car offers a pure electric distance based on CLTC standards of up to 180 km or 170 km, depending on the battery variant, which is classified as very high for a PHEV in the price range of IDR 200 million.
