BYD Brings New Ti7 PHEV SUV To Bangkok, Will It Enter Indonesia?

JAKARTA BYD officially brought its newest SUV, Ti7 or known as Fang Cheng Bao Ti7 in the Chinese market, to Bangkok Motor Expo 2025. Its presence at the event is a strong signal that this model is being prepared for the global market.

Quoting Carnewschina, Monday, December 1, Ti7, which carries the Urban SUV design language, is still appearing as an introductory unit. Since it has not entered the sales stage, BYD brought the left steering version to the exhibition.

Even so, Ti7's chances of officially launching remain wide open. In Bangkok, BYD also showcased Denza B5 and released Denza Phantom Edition as part of a strategy to strengthen its product lines in the international market.

In terms of design, Ti7 appears in a modern-style boxy body. The silhouette is firm through a flat roof line, a muscular feder, and a matrix LED headlights. While behind, the SUV adopts a backdoor with a sein light that can be opened and an additional storage compartment.

In dimensions, Ti7 has a length of 4,999 mm, a width of 1,995 mm, and a height of 1,865 mm. This car is equipped with LiDAR and 20 inches of rim which strengthens its character as a dashing SUV.

Entering the interior, the cabin is dominated by white with super advanced configurations: a total of seven screens, ranging from a 15.6-inch central control screen, 12.3-inch instrument panels, 26-inch W-HUD, two AC control screens, up to two 13-inch BYD Pads on the second row. The panoramic sunset is large, 20 speakers, and ambient lighting complements a luxurious driving experience.

The unit on display is the highest trim with a 4WD multiple motor propulsion system. Its heart combines 1.5 liters of turbo 115 kW (154 hp) gasoline with two electric motors with a total power of 360 kW (483 hp). The 35.6 kWh LFP battery it carries is able to cover a distance of up to 190 km based on CLTC standards.

Until now, BYD has not announced the global launch schedule for Ti7. However, its debut in Thailand signals that this SUV has the potential to be present in the international market starting next year.

Will Indonesia be one of its goals, considering that the PHEV market competition is heating up? Of course it should be awaited by BYD's next steps.
