Chery Launches Two New Variants Of Tiggo 8 CSH, Prices Start At IDR 439 Million

PT Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI) officially launched two new variants for the Chery Tiggo 8 CSH series at the Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) 2025, Saturday, November 22. Interestingly, one of these new variants has a cheaper price than the variant that was first launched.

This means that now the Chinese manufacturer has three variants for the Tiggo 8 CSH model. The new variant is the Tiggo 8 CSH Comfort which is priced at IDR 439.9 million and also Premium AWD which is sold for IDR 559.9 million with the status of Jakarta OTR.

Meanwhile, the initial variant that was launched was the Premium team which was priced at IDR 519.9 million. Director of Sales of PT Chery Sales Indonesia Budi Darmawan, explained that the comfort variant does not have some features in Comfort, one of which is the panoramic sunset. On the other hand, the choice of a hybrid car itself is still quite high in Indonesia, so Chery presents a comfort variant.

"PHEV is the problem at the price, if you want to buy PHEV, it's generally high (the price). Since the beginning, Tiggo 8 CSH was also quite shocking because the price could be that much, so that's one of the keys to CSH success, and our PHEV technology is already advanced rather than competitors," said Budi after the launch at the GJAW 2025 event, Saturday, November 22.

"So the difference between effort and premium is the sunroof, backdoor power, memory seat, and the number of speakers. Engine and ADAS are all the same," he continued.

The purchase of these two new variants also received several benefits, ranging from vehicle guarantees for 6 years/150.000 Km, engine guarantees 10 years/1.000 Km. Then there is also a power battery guarantee of 8 years or 160,000 Km, and there is also a service guarantee for parts for 4 years/60,000 Km.

Chery Tiggo 8 CSH has a super hybrid engine with 1,500 cc turbo gasoline engine (ACTECO H4J15) which produces 143 PS and 215 Nm, as well as electric motors that produce 204 PS and 310 Nm.

The combination of the two produces a combined total power of around 240 PS (or 243 hp) and a peak torque of 310 Nm, with acceleration of 0 to 100 km/hour reached with a time of 8 seconds, while the AWD variant can reach 6.5 seconds.

To support the performance of long-distance and daily driving, Tiggo 8 CSH is equipped with Lithium Iron Phosphate (Li-Po) batteries that have pocketed IP68 Waterproof certification, and are designed to withstand extreme temperature conditions, from -35 degrees Celsius to 60 degrees Celsius.
