JAKARTA Ahead of its debut stage at the AutoMobility LA 2025, Los Angeles, on November 20, Hyundai officially releases a sketch of the Crater Concept teaser, a concept car that is ready to inspire adventure lovers.
The model, designed for off-road activity, will premiere during the 2025 LA AutoMobility Day media, before finally greeting the public at the Los Angeles Auto Show which takes place on November 21'30, 2025.
"Crater Concept is a compact offroad SUV concept car that reflects the greatness and resilience," Hyundai wrote in its official statement, Tuesday, November 18.
Through the initial teaser, this car appeared with a strong and brave character, describing the spirit of exploration that became its main DNA.
From published sketches, the Crater Concept features a tall posture with rough offroad tires. Hyundai said the design showed a new direction of a more resilient identity and focused on adventure, even hinting that the current XRT style could evolve into something more extreme.

The front shows off a slim light located just below the engine hood, combined with a typical four-point pattern in the middle. The closed lattices are a strong clue that this concept model is likely to carry electric power, while the main lights appear neatly hidden in a narrow gap above the thick front bumper.
Hyundai Crater Concept offers an early picture of potential electric SUVs that are really ready to go down to the heavy field, or even become the forerunner of a more hardcore version of XRT. However, Hyundai has not disclosed details regarding the powertrain specifications.
Inspired by the extreme environment, the Crater Concept was developed by the Hyundai America Technical Center (HATCI) in Irvine, California. This model brings the same toughness spirit as the current XRT ranks, ranging from Ioniq 5 XRT, Santa Cruz XRT, to the latest XRT Pro Olympics.
