JAKARTA Lexus officially introduced ES 2026 as the latest generation of their luxury sedan, as well as for the first time presenting a full electric (EV) variant alongside a hybrid version. This model is built on a GA-K platform that has been strengthened to be able to accommodate large-capacity batteries and electric motors without sacrificing the comfort of Lexus' typical driving.

This latest ES dimension has also changed, now the overall length now reaches 5.14 meters or about 16.5 centimeters longer than the previous generation. The wheelbase also increased by about 8 centimeters to 2.95 meters, providing a more spacious cabin room.

Launching from ArenaEV, Friday, November 14, Lexus offers two electric variants, namely a model with one front-wheeled motor producing about 220 cellphones of power and capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/hour in 7.7 seconds. The distance is estimated to reach 483 kilometers with the use of a 19-inch wheel.

Meanwhile, the variant of two motors driving an all-wheel drive produces 339 cellphones, is capable of running from 0 to 100 km/hour in 5.4 seconds, and offers a distance of about 402 kilometers. DC fast charging allows the battery to charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in approximately 30 minutes.

In terms of appearance, ES 2026 adopts a new design language that takes inspiration from the LF-ZC concept. The front lights of Twin L-Signature and a closed gril on the electric variant make the display look cleaner and more modern. Entering the cabin, Lexus embeds a 14-inch touch screen for infotainment systems, a 12.3-inch digital instrument display, as well as new interior materials such as trim Bamboo Layering which is produced using three-dimensional printing techniques.

Passenger comfort is also one of the focuses of the update. The Executive Package provides a back seat with reclining features, ottoman, as well as heating, ventilation, and massage to improve driving experience. The safety system of the latest generation Lexus Safety System + 4.0 is also present as the standard.

Lexus scheduled the presence of ES 2026 at the dealers in the first quarter of 2026. For the United States market, its electricity model is estimated to be priced from 60,000 to US$65.000, equivalent to Rp1 billion to Rp1.09 billion.
