Officiallypaling For The First Time In Indonesia, Take A Peek At Wuling Darion EV And PHEV Specifications

JAKARTA - Wuling officially launched the MPV Darion medium which is present in EV to PHEV options, which are prepared to answer the needs of diverse modern families.

This environmentally friendly car comes in two trim options, namely CE and EX. Production Planning Wuling Motors Aji Ibrahim, revealed that both CE and EX carry the concepts of exterior, interior, and similar dimensions design.

"The two trims are presented to provide flexibility to family consumers for mobility needs," said Aji Ibrahim, when met on the sidelines of the launch, in the PIK area 2, Wednesday, November 5.

In design, the two are almost the same, but for the EV variant comes with a cleaner exterior touch because there is no grip on the front like an electric car in general, while PHEV comes with a polygonal grip.

Wuling Darion has dimensions of 4,910 mm x 1,870 mm x 1,770 mm and a wheelbase of 2,910 mm with a wide and ergonomic 7-passenger cabin configuration.

The disc brake system at the front and back guarantees optimal braking, while theajerson suspension at the front and Multilink Independent at the back provide maximum comfort on various road conditions.

The exterior display is increasingly modern thanks to the use of 17-inch Lunar Machined Alloy with 215/55 R17 tires combined. The Electric Power Steering steering system also presents a light driving sensation and precision at each maneuver.

Powered by the latest electrification technology, the Wuling Darion EV is equipped with a 150 kW electric motor or equivalent to 201 HP with a 310 Nm peak torque that is channeled to the front wheel through Single Reduction transmission. The energy source comes from the 69.2 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate battery which can cover a distance of up to 540 km (CLTC) with the Front Wheel Drive driving system.

Meanwhile, the PHEV Darion combines a 1.490 cc, Naturally Aspirated, Atkinson Cycle, with a 145 kW (195 HP) electric motor and a 230 Nm torque. Its conventional engine generates 105 HP power at 5.800 rpm and a 130 Nm torque at 4.600'5.000 rpm, combined with the Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) transmission system to provide a smooth and efficient power transfer.

Powered by a 20.5 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate battery, the PHEV Darion is capable of exploring up to 125 km in pure electric mode (CLTC) and a 52 liter fuel tank, fixed with an Front Wheel Drive driving engine.

To facilitate family activities, Darion is equipped with practical features that can be operated electrically. Smart Electric Tailgate can be opened in four different ways, namely through 12.8 inches of control screen, remote key, voice command, and tailgate switch, facilitating access to baggage without a hassle. Electric Sunrooft can be operated with three methods, namely through 12.8 inches of control screen, voice command, and headlining switches.

Meanwhile, Autocomfort Slide Doors can also be opened and closed in five easy ways through 12.8 inches of control screen, remote key, voice command, headlining switch, and door switch, providing maximum comfort in vehicle entry and exit.

The Darion cabin space is designed with a 2+2+3 configuration that provides flexibility in each row. The distance between rows reaches 230 mm, while the second row seats can be donated up to 180 degrees for a comfortable resting position.

The cabin height of more than 1,200 mm presents a spacious atmosphere, with the third row backing reaching 127 degrees and a seating length of up to 490 mm and a width of 1,230 mm which remains comfortable for long-distance travel.

The entire vehicle system can be controlled through a 12.8-inch touch screen which is the center of the main interaction between the driver and the vehicle. The main display includes a setting menu such as Lighting, Sound, Control, AC, to Scene, while the Driving page displays Drive Assist, Energy, and Appcenter. The system is also connected to IoV which allows users to access battery status, charging, to long-distance driving modes.

Wuling Darion is offered in two main variants, CE and EX, for EV and PHEV versions. All variants carry classy interior characters with a combination of Walnut Brown and Carbon Black colors with a captain seat made from synthetic leather upholstery, steering wheel wrapped in the skin with multifunctional buttons and also soft touch interior panels.
