JAKARTA - Chinese automotive manufacturer GAC claims one of its newest products, Aion UT, and will increase production with a target of up to 2,000 units by the end of the year.
This was revealed by GAC Indonesia Chief Executive Officer Andry Ciu. According to him, the manufacturer has now ordered thousands of units, but the exact figures are not explained in detail.
"This car (Aion UT) has been ordered by thousands of units, for the exact number we will check first. Anyway, our target is to focus on producing more than 2,000 units by the end of the year," he said, when met in the PIK area, some time ago.
GAC Indonesia itself has kept its commitment by starting to send Aion UT local production to consumers. A total of 225 units of the latest model have been sent to consumers who have ordered since it was launched at the GIIAS event.
"This is just a ceremony, we will also continue to deliver cars to consumers," he added.
As is known, Aion UT was first introduced in Indonesia through the 2025 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) in July 2025.
