JAKARTA Despite facing quite a tough financial challenge, Nissan still shows his commitment to continue to innovate. The Japanese auto brand presents a new breakthrough at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show by introducing a fully new fourth generation Elgrand.

The official launch of the latest Elgrand is scheduled to take place next summer, marking an important step for Nissan in strengthening a new product strategy under Re: NIsan's grand plan.

The strong and dynamic Japanese market is very important for Nissan's global success. We are determined to revive that spirit with respect to our legacy and bring Elgrand's enthusiasm to the electrification era," said Ivan Espinosa, CEO of Nissan, quoted from the company's official website, Wednesday, October 29.

Since its first launch in 1997, Elgrand has been known as a pioneer in the premium Japanese minivan segment, thanks to its vast cabin, interior luxury, and superior driving comfort. Now, its fourth generation comes with a combination of Nissan's latest electrification technology and modern designs that further pamper drivers and passengers.

Scheduled to launch in Japan in the summer of 2026, the latest Elgrand promises a smoother, quieter, and luxurious driving experience, creating a pleasant travel atmosphere for the whole family.

The interior has undergone a total overhaul. Nissan equipped Elgrand with a two-color leather steering wheel equipped with many physical buttons, as well as a pair of 14.3-inch screens on the dashboard and a new mid-cone. The audio system uses 22 Bose speakers, including a large speaker on the front head back, featuring premium class sound quality.

Not to forget, the second row chair now looks more comfortable with its tilt function and electrical footwear, providing an experience like a business class cabin.

In terms of performance, the latest generation of Elgrand will be marketed exclusively with a third-generation powertrain hybrid e-POWER, combining 1.5 liter turbocharged gasoline engines with electric motors to provide high efficiency without sacrificing energy.
