JAKARTA - An automotive manufacturer from China, BYD, is preparing to challenge the dominance of Porsche 911 in the electric sports car segment. Through its premium brand, Denza, the company is reportedly developing a high-performance sports car codenamed Z.

Reporting from Carscoops, Thursday, October 23, this model was recently caught on camera undergoing trials at the legendary N\"ourburgring circuit, Germany. From the circulating photos, the Denza Z prototype was seen wearing a fixed rear wing as well as a large diffuser at the stern, affirming BYD's focus on aerodynamic aspects and stability at high speed.

The car also uses GitiSport GTR3 semi-slick tires, measuring 275/35 at the front and 325/30 at the back. Which provides strong indications that Denza Z is not just a fast car on the straight track, but is also ready to face a sharp bend with precision.

Although no official specifications have yet been announced, reports from China's automotive media say Denza Z will carry a three-motor electric motor system with a power of more than 900 cellphones. In comparison, the previous model, Denza Z9 GT, was able to produce up to 952 cellphones.

With such a large output, Denza Z is estimated to be able to accelerate from 0100 km/h in just about three seconds or less. It makes its performance level, or even has the potential to surpass the Porsche 911 Turbo S.

The interior is no less attractive. Denza Z's cabin will carry futuristic designs with three digital screens, including screens for front passengers, as well as the use of premium materials such as skin and Alcantara. This alloy between high technology and luxury strengthens Denza's position as a premium brand under BYD.

The Vice President of BYD, Stella Li, has even confidently stated that Denza cars are ten times better than European competitors such as Porsche and BMW. This big ambition doesn't seem to be a figment, considering that Denza is indeed targeting the European market as its main expansion region in the near future.

According to a Reuters report, the price of the Denza model in Europe will start at around 72,000 euros, or equivalent to IDR 1.1 billion. Initial production will be carried out in China, before plans for factory expansion abroad are realized.

However, for Denza Z himself, there has been no official statement regarding the launch date or price tag. If it is true that it is able to provide performance and technology as promised, Denza Z has the potential to change the map of global electric sports car competition.
