Immediately Launch, Jaecoo Immediately Sends J5 EV To Consumers

JAKARTA - Jaecool Indonesia has opened the prebooking of the first electric car in Indonesia, namely J5 EV at the 2024 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) and the car will soon launch.

It is certain that Jaecool will launch J5 EV before the Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) exhibition which will take place from November 21 to 30. This was revealed by Jaecool Indonesia's Head of Product, Ryan Ferdian Tirto.

"Launching should have been before GJAW, we'll just have to wait," he said, when met in the Bogor area, West Java Tuesday, October 14.

He further said that after officially launching the Jaecool J5 EV, it would also be immediately sent to consumers who had ordered, including those who had ordered since it was introduced.

"So after the launch, send it directly to consumers (J5 EV)," he added.

During the GIIAS exhibition last July, Jaecool J5 EV itself had been ordered more than 300 units. At that time, Jaecool Indonesia removed the sheath of the two variants which were priced the cheapest at Rp350 million, while the highest reached Rp450 million.

In terms of specifications, J5 EV By design, this car displays a modern and futuristic impression. On the front, no culling is presented, and the LED all-light has also been pinned along with Jaecoo's writing. Meanwhile, confirming that this one car is a pure electric vehicle with BEV writing in the lower front area.

This electric car comes with a length of 4,380 mm, a width of 1,860 mm, and a height of 1,650 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,620 mm. The Ground clearance is also capable thanks to an approach angle of 20 degrees and a departure angle of 30 degrees.

Regarding the heart of the runway, J5 BEV is equipped with a 67 kW electric motor with a peak power reaching 155 kW or 207 dk. The peak torque reaches 288 Nm, which makes the acceleration 0-100 km/hour achievable within 7.7 seconds. The speed of this electric motor rotation reaches 18,000 rpm. This car is equipped with a 60.9 kWh capacity battery capable of traveling up to 400 kilometers in WLTC testing.
