JAKARTA - Mercedes-Benz officially introduced G 450d, the latest diesel variant from the G-Class family for the Indian market. The model is sold for Rs 2.90, or the equivalent of around Rp4.6 billion.
The presence of G 450d marks the return of diesel engines to the ranks of G-Class after being absent, as well as expanding the choice of customers to three variants of powertrain, namely gasoline, electricity, and diesel.
In terms of design, G 450d comes with a light update on the grille which now has four horizontal blades, a new front bumper, and a black-finishing 20-inch AMG wheels. The interior features an adjustable array of Nappa skin, metallic trim, and ambient lighting.
The NTG7 MBUX infotainment system with two 12.3-inch screens supports augmented reality navigation and wireless connectivity, plus a 7-60-watt 3D Burmester sound system with Dolby Atmos technology.
Behind the engine's hood, G 450d is equipped with a six-cylinder diesel engine with a capacity of 3.0 liters with a 48-volt mid-hybrid system. The machine produces 362 hp of power and a 750 Nm peak torque, equipped with an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) system for additional electrical power.
