Caught On Camera During Road Test, AUDI's New Crossover Will Launch Next Year

JAKARTA - Just launched its first electric car last September, now the second model from the AUDI caught on camera testing the road in China. Still the result of collaboration with the SAIC Group, the second model will come as a crossover and is predicted to launch in 2026.

Quoting from the Carnewschina page, Monday, October 6, the AUDI is a combined brand between Audi and SAIC which was launched for the first time in November 2024. Unlike the German brand, for China the AUDI no longer uses the logo of four classic rings.

The line model will consist of electric cars most developed by the Chinese team for China. The first model of this brand, the AUDI E5 Sportback, was launched on September 16, with a peak power of 776 hp and an initial price of 235,900 yuan or around Rp549 million.

Previously, the AUDI representative revealed plans to launch three models by 2027. The two brands' cars are scheduled to launch on the domestic market in 2026.

Back to the second model from the AUDI, its newest model comes with conventional rear-left rear-view mirrors and chrome rims. Other features include a pullable door handle, a charging port on the left-back par, and a roof spoiler. There is a blind spot monitoring camera on the front stage. The car also has a see-through rear light with vertical elements at both ends.

This AUDI crossover has a sleek roof line and blackened pillars. Pillar B integrates Face-ID cameras. This camera helps the car recognize the owner and unlock the door.

It is estimated that this model will have a length of 5 meters which is already supported by the Advanced Digitized Platform (ADP). This platform supports the 800V high voltage system.
