Will Launch In The Philippines, Take A Peek At The Newest Hybrid Forestr Subaru Specifications

JAKARTA - After his world debut at the Chicago Auto Show 2025 early last year, the hybrid Subaru Forestr was confirmed to be present in the Philippines through distributor Subaru Motor Image Pilipinas in the near future.

Quoting from the Top Gear PH page, Monday, September 22, this Subaru Forester will be powered by a new powertrain hybrid e-Boxer, which was jointly developed with Toyota.

If officially launches, the compact crossover will compete with Honda CR-V e: HEV and Toyota RAV4 HEV which are quite popular in the country.

The Philippines Subaru has not disclosed details about the Hybrid e-Boxer powertrain, but a glimpse of what other markets have gained has provided an overview of what is expected.

The Hybrid e-Boxer Subaru for the Philippine market has a 2.5L Atkinson/Miller boxer engine assisted by two electric motors (one generator and a traction motor). The result is the output of the combined 194 PS system and 209 Nm torque. Power is then transferred to the Lineartronic CVT and the brand's Symmetric AWD system.

In addition to having an electric powertrain, a new all-new Hybrid e-Boxer Forestr may come with 11.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system features with a wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, and the latest version of Subaru EyeSight ADAS.

The car builds on the Subaru Global Platform, which uses high-power steel to increase collisional safety, long-lasting quality, and a quieter cabin.

The Hybrid Forestr is also equipped with eight air bags 8, adjustable head support at every seating position, and a ring-shaped booster frame as standard equipment to help provide comprehensive impact protection.
