The Latest Deepal S07 Officially Launches, Now Equipped With Huawei's Smart Driving System

JAKARTA Vehicle brand from Changan Automobile, Deepal officially launched the latest version of the S07 medium SUV. This new model comes smarter thanks to Huawei Qiankun ADS SE's smart driving system, which is the main attraction as well as a differentiator of its predecessor.

Citing CNevpost, Monday, September 22, Qiankun ADS SE is an entry level of Huawei's series of smart driving technologies that also include ADS Pro, ADS Max, and ADS Ultra. Although the focus of the update is on this smart feature, S07 still maintains the Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) and Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) options, providing flexible choices for consumers.

This medium-sized SUV maintains its ideal dimension with a length of 4,750 mm, a width of 1,930 mm, a height of 1,625 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,900 mm, so it remains comfortable for families but agile in urban areas.

In the BEV variant, S07 is equipped with a back motorbike powered by 200 kW (268 hp) with a torque of 290 Nm, capable of accelerating from 0100 km/hour in just 7.4 seconds. The 68.82 kWh LFP battery embedded offers a distance of up to 550 km (CLTC standard).

While the EREV variant uses a 1.5 liter engine as a range expander with a thermal efficiency of 44.39 percent. This variant offers two LFP battery options with a capacity of 31.73 kWh and 39.05 kWh, each capable of traveling 230 km and 300 km in full electricity. When combined with a full gasoline tank, the total distance can reach 1,320 km to 1,385 km.

The latest deepal S07 is priced from 156,900 yuan or around Rp366 million, making it an attractive choice for consumers looking for smart SUVs with flexible range, both pure electricity and extended range.
