Tesla Launches Model Y Performance In Europe: Faster, More Advanced, And Ready To Hit The Track!

JAKARTA After a long wait, Tesla officially launched the Model Y Performance in the European market. The top variant of this best-selling electric SUV comes with a series of significant improvements, both in terms of performance, design, and technology, promising an unrivaled driving experience.

Reporting from the Tesla Europe page, the Model Y Performance is priced quite expensive starting from 61,990 (equivalent to Rp1.38 billion) in the UK and will begin shipping to customers in September 2025 across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. These units are produced directly at the Berlin Gigafactory.

Behind his elegant appearance, the Model Y Performance is a true performance monster. Supported by the Dual-Motor All-Wheel Drive drive system with a 4DU Performance drive unit, this car is capable of generating 460 bhp of power. Acceleration of 0-60 mph (0-97 km/h) only takes 3.3 seconds, while the peak speed reaches 155 mph (250 km/hour).

Despite its large power, efficiency remains a priority. This car uses higher energy density battery cells that allow range of up to 580 km (WLTP). For a more personal driving experience, Tesla added a new driving mode, including 'Insane' mode for maximum acceleration and customizable traction controls.

The development of the Y Performance Model on the legendary N\"urburgring circuit results in a marked increase in aerodynamics. Its exterior is now equipped with new front and back bumpers to reduce barriers, carbon fiber spoilers to increase downforce, distinctive red brake caps, and 'Performance' badges. 21-inch 'Arachnid 2.0' Velg with optimized tires further strengthens grip and aggressive appearance.

On the side of the handling, this car is equipped with adaptive suspensions of damping, per, roll bar, and new bushing designed to increase torsional rigidity, ensuring stability and precision at every corner.

Luxury Cabinet With Mutakhir Technology Touch

Driver and passenger comfort is significantly improved. Front sports seats are now equipped with heating and ventilation features with stronger side pads. The back seat is not left behind, with electrically regulateable heating and clothing features.

The cabinet is now much quieter thanks to sound damping material and acoustic glass. The center touch screen is upgraded to 16 inches with high resolution, while the rear passenger is spoiled with an 8-inch touchscreen. The Y Performance model is also ready with Full Self-Driving (Supervised) technology and a panoramic glass roof that gives a wide impression.
