Latest Xpeng P7 Officially Launches, Design To Technology Changes Total

JAKARTA - Xpeng officially launched the latest P7 in China which received a myriad of updates from the previous generation. In fact, this car is in great demand referring to the 10,000 orders in just 7 minutes of launch.

Quoting from the Carnewschina page, Thursday, August 28, this model comes with several variants with entry levels priced starting from 219,800 yuan or around Rp502 million.

Looking at the history of Xpeng P7, the first generation entered the Chinese market in 2020. Its cumulative domestic sales volume reached 190,935 units, according to China EV DataTracker. P7 became a global model with its launch in Europe and other regions.

So what are the changes that make this car very popular? In design, P7 adopts the latest Xmart Face design language. The front of the car is equipped with a sleek LED strip and a running Xpeng logo.

This car has an active air intake in the front bumper which can be closed to reduce barriers. Other flagship features of the P7 style include a sleek roof line, a pullable handle, and an active spoiler. As a result, this EV has a barrier coefficient of 0.201 Cd.

Xpeng P7 uses a 20-inch or 21-inch rim which makes it look sporty, supported in dimensions with a 5.017 mm long, 1,970 mm wide, 1,427 mm high with a wheelbase of 3,008 mm.

Interestingly, the performance arian Xpeng P7 is equipped with four-piston Brembo scissors and brakes. There are six body colors with unique names: Rhythm Yellow, Twilight Purple, Starlight Blue, Starry Green, Crescent Silver, and Star Gray.

Entering the cabin, the latest Xpeng P7 comes in three interior variants ranging from gray, gray, and purple. The center console is equipped with a triple steering wheel covered with Nappa skin. Two taps on the steering wheel allow drivers to control driving mode, air suspension, smart driving function, and more.

The 15.6-inch floating mid-screen on the P7 can be rotated 15 degrees to the left and right as well as 10 degrees up and down. There are also 8.8-inch LCD instrument panels and 87-inch augmented reality head-up screens. The P7 Xpeng has 23 speakers with an audio system of 7.1.4. This car trunk has a capacity of 575 liters. With the second row seat folded, the total volume increased to 1929 liters.

Regarding the heartburn, the entry level variant has one electric motor in the back with a power of 270 kW (362 hp). The AWD variant offers a combined peak power of 437 kW (586 hp), with acceleration times from zero to one hundred in 3.7 seconds. There are two battery variants, namely LFP 74.9 kWh and NMC liner 92.2 kWh. The range is 702 820 km (CLTC).
