Offroad Electric SUVs Chery Fulwin X3 And Fulwin X3 Plus Officially Launch, Prices Start At IDR 203 Million

JAKARTA - After being introduced some time ago, Chery finally opened the sheaths of the Fulwin X3 and Chery Fulwin X3 Plus models for the Chinese market.

Quoting from the Carnewschina page, Tuesday, August 19, this Offroad SUV comes with various advantages, both in terms of battery range, tough design, abundant features to competitive prices.

Chery Fulwin X3 is priced between 89,900 to 109,900 yuan or around Rp203 million to Rp250 million. While the larger variant X3 Plus, is in the range of 139,900 yuan or Rp316 million. Later, Chery will also launch the third model, Fulwin X3L EREV, on the Chengdu Auto Show on August 29.

In specifications, this electric SUV uses a rear-wheeled electric motor (RWD) with a maximum power of 248 hp and a peak torque of 300 Nm. Both variants are equipped with lithium iron phosphate batteries with different capacities.

For Fulwin X3 it is equipped with a 50.79 kWh battery with a range of up to 401 km. In addition, Fulwin X3 Plus is 68.36 kWh of battery with a range of up to 520 km.

By design, Fulwin X3 has a dimensions of 4327 mm long, 1910 mm wide, 1715 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2715 mm and a weight of about 1,722 kg. While the X3 Plus comes slightly larger with a size of 4380 mm x 1916 mm x 1741 mm (pxlxt) and a weight of 1,903 kg. Both models have off-road designs typical of box bodies, L-shaped front lights, a rib-shaped engine hood, as well as functional features such as roof trunk racks and external storage containers.

Entering the cabin, the interior is designed with modern and futuristic layouts, featuring a flat steering wheel, a 9.2-inch digital instrument panel, and a large 15.6-inch central display with a resolution of up to 2.5K on X3 Plus. The infotainment system is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chip, except for the entry-level X3 variant using Snapdragon 6155.

There are also various advanced safety and technology features embedded. Chery Fulwin X3 Plus is equipped with a advanced Falcon 500 driving assistance system, which is capable of detecting on autopilot (NOA) navigation on highways as well as parking aid features.

Meanwhile, Fulwin X3 offers 12 active safety functions such as automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruising control, and vehicle surveillance mode.
