JAKARTA - BYD through the Yangwang subbrand will present a U9 Track Edition that is more powerful than the standard version. The specifications are revealed in submissions to China's ministry of industry and information technology (MIIT).
Quoting from the Paultan page, Wednesday, August 13, the most prominent thing is that the staff is present twice as compared to the standard version. For the standard U9, it is able to produce up to 1,306 PS (1,287 hp or 960 kW) of power, while the Track Edition produces more than double the power, namely 3,018 PS (2,977 hp or 2,220 kW).
This is thanks to four electric motors, each of which produces 755 PS (744 hp or 555 kW), much larger than the standard U9 which produces up to 326 PS (322 hp or 240 kW) of each of its four electric motors.
The submission indicates U9 Track Edition will reach a top speed of 350 km/h, but it is highly controversial considering the standard U9 can reach 391.91 km/hour with less power.
This highest speed was achieved last year when BYD brought U9 to N\"uarburgring and managed to record a time of 7:17,900 minutes. The time record is fairly good for Chinese cars, but ultimately still lost to Xiaomi SU7 Ultra which recorded a time of 7:04,957 seconds in June this year.

Previously, BYD had revealed that it would return to The Green Hell for another record-breaking effort after Xiaomi set a record. The Track Edition will most likely try to win the title of the fastest production electric car in N\"urburgring from Xiaomi.
Visually, the car is not very different from the standard U9, with some important things like 20-inch rims with 325/35 profile tires, carbon fiber roofs, fixed carbon fiber rear wings, and prominent diffusers.
The submission does include optional aerodynamic components such as different front splitters and electric backwings.
These components seem to be an option for those who prefer a smoother look without a large backwing and an aggressive front look.
