JAKARTA - The electric SUV produced by the collaboration between Hyundai Motor Company and BAIC is confirmed to be launching for the Chinese market this September. This first electric SUV marked the start of the company's "New Energy Year" called Beijing Hyundai.

The EO is also claimed to have a qualified performance where the FWD is powered by a 160 kW single motor, while the AWD variant adds a 73 kW rear motor so that the total output reaches 233 kW (312 hp). Both versions have the highest speed of 185 km/h. This car will use a lithium-iron-photo (LFP) battery from FinDreams (BYD's subsidiary) with an estimated range of up to 700 km based on CLTC conditions.

For smart features, Hyundai EO will be equipped with an automated driving assistance system "Haomo.ai" which offers L2+ support.

Meanwhile, the target price is between 100,000 and 300,000 yuan (around Rp228 million to Rp685 million).
