Suzuki APV Appears at GIIAS 2025, Remains Exist and Popular in Fleet Segment

TANGERANG - In addition to showcasing its newest products, PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) also brought its legacy product line, which remains a market favorite, to the 2025 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS).

From VOI's observations at the Suzuki booth, the APV also attracted quite a lot of attention. This demonstrates that the car, first introduced in 2004, is still in existence today.

At first glance, the car appears to be equipped with outdated technology. So, will Suzuki revamp the model?

"The APV segment is quite unique. Its buyers are primarily companies, and 90-95 percent are fleet customers or companies," he said when met at ICE BSD some time ago.

When asked about the feature upgrade, the man known as Harold said that APV consumers don't need complicated things, but rather see the car's practicality.

"Consumers don't need complicated things, but rather practicality, safe service, and fuel efficiency. It's more like that," he added.

Interestingly, this car is still quite popular in the domestic market. In fact, it's still being exported to various countries that need this practical and fuel-efficient vehicle.

"It's still being exported to several countries, but the destination countries will be checked first," he explained.

Previously, this car was also displayed at the 2025 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS). At that time, when asked about a refresh, Harold revealed that the APV remains as is.

"There's quite a lot of talk about this coming back, but as the saying goes, 'don't forget the peanut's skin. If you ask what its fate will be (after the merger), it's still like this," he said.

The Suzuki APV marketed in Indonesia is only the SGX and GX models. According to information from Suzuki's official website, the SGX APV is priced at IDR 250.250 million, and the GX is priced at IDR 247 million. (ADV)
