MG4 Is Now Present In The Max Variant With A Further Travel Distance Of Up To 540 Km

JAKARTA - MG Motor Indonesia presents innovation at GIIAS 2025 by presenting MG4 EV Max, which is the center of attention of many consumers at the MG booth.

The new variant is designed to answer the needs of consumers who want electric vehicles with more cruising range. This was revealed by MG Motor Indonesia Chief Executive Officer Jason Huang.

"The presence of this variant is indeed one of the needs of consumers who want a longer distance. With a cruising range of up to 540 km, MG4 EV MAX is the ideal solution for consumers who need reliable electric vehicles," he said, during a presentation at ICE BSD, Tangerang, Thursday, July 24.

This latest variant of the MG4 EV is now equipped with a battery capacity of 64 kWh, in contrast to the existing variant where it is at 51 kWh. With a larger capacity this car is capable of traveling up to 540 km in one charge (based on the NEDC standard).

Interestingly, not only superior in the current longer distance, this car also offers an increase in the output of electric motors that generate a maximum power of 204 PS. The electric motor is combined with a rear wheel drive configuration (RWD) providing instant acceleration, precise handling, and stability and agility while maneuvering.

In the cabin, MG maintains the advantages of features that have been the attraction of the MG4 EV, including a 10.25-inch touchscreen-based infotainment system, a 7-inch digital instrument panel, and a high-quality audio system. MG4 EV MAX also comes with an online-connected i-SMART system, enabling vehicle control and access to digital features in real time directly from smartphones.

In terms of comfort, the MG4 EV MAX brings improvement through the presence of heated steering wheels and heated front seats new features that provide the sensation of driving warmer and more enjoyable, especially when the weather is cold or rainy.

While in terms of safety, this car is equipped with six airbags, ABS and EBD braking systems, electronic stability control (ESC), hill start assists, 360-degree camera, and Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) which includes lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, front collision warning, clock assist traffic, and adaptive cruise control.

The MG4 EV MAX also presents a variety of additional features that enrich the driving experience, such as power adjustable front seats, blind spot detection, real cross traffic alert, and rear privacy window. This combination of technology makes MG4 EV MAX a more complete choice incorporating performance, cruising power, comfort, security, and practicality to meet the needs of modern mobility.

This electric car is priced at IDR 419 million, and for now it is only available for 100 units but it is possible that it will be added if demand is good enough.
