Suzuki Jimny Will Get Refreshment, Anything?

JAKARTA - Who doesn't know Suzuki Jimny? This iconic car has indeed become a favorite of many people, thanks to its agile ability on the off-road and comfortable terrain to drive on urban roads. No wonder Jimny has a strong fan base, including in Indonesia.

Good news comes for Jimny lovers. The fourth-generation model currently circulating is rumored to be getting a light refresh in the near future, as the automotive market develops increasingly dynamic.

Citing a Carscoops report, Tuesday, July 15, Suzuki is said to be preparing a facelift version of Jimny which will launch in August. Although the shape is not big, the focus of the improvement lies in the technological aspect, not the design.

Jimny's distinctive character of the box shape will still be maintained. But behind his familiar appearance, Suzuki embeds improvements to safety features through Suzuki Safety Support's latest technology.

Some of the new features that will be embedded include a new two-camera-based braking system, a break function for traffic sign recognition, as well as additional features of Reverse Brake Support, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Adaptive Cruise Control. The presence of these features will expand the capabilities of Jimny's ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), making it safer and more modern.

In terms of appearance, both exterior and interior are expected to remain the same as before. Reports from Japanese media also state that Suzuki will not launch a variant with a new style or a special edition in this update. Even the machines used are also maintained.

This light update is Suzuki's step to maintain Jimny's competitiveness without changing his self-idential identity which is already firmly attached to the hearts of his fans.
