JAKARTA - Huawei together with SAIC already have a new brand called Shangjie. Previously, a picture of his first car was circulating but it was still shrouded in full camouflage.

Quoting from the CNevpost page, Monday, July 14, Shangjie has now released an official image for his first model to debut, the model in question is H5, which will target the SUV segment.

Shangaji shared three pictures on Weibo's official website by showing off its exterior design. Similar to the camouflage, the car is equipped with a LiDAR sensor on the roof similar to many models of electric vehicles from China.

"Shangjie H5 is equipped with an ADS 4 driver assistance system owned by Huawei at the launch, providing an upper level experience," said Executive Director Richard Yu.

The system is a smart driving system that adopts an autonomous future-oriented architecture that can increase traffic efficiency by up to 20 percent. Unfortunately there is no more detailed information regarding the first model.

However, overall the design offers an elegant impression on the front coming with sharp lights, and a firm line also comes from the front body to the back. There is also a chrome accent that makes it look more elegant.

Shangjie is the fifth automotive brand under the umbrella of HIMA (Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance) Huawei, with four others being Aito from Seres Group, Luxeed from Chery, Stelato from BAIC Group, and Maextro from Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group (JAC).

On April 16, Yu officially launched the Shangjie brand at a new product launch event for the HIMA business, stating that the goal is to launch the first Shangjie EV model this fall.
