Geely Opens Pre-Sales Of Galaxy A7, PHEV Sedan With 2,100 Km Mileage

JAKARTA - Geely has begun pre-sales of its PHEV electric vehicle, the Galaxy A7, in China. It comes in five variants and is priced between 103,800 yuan and 133,800 yuan, or around IDR 235 million to IDR 302 million.

According to Carnewschina, the Geely Galaxy A7 is the Chinese brand's first sedan built on the GEA (Geely Electric Architecture) platform and is also the debut model for their latest EM-i AI Super Hybrid 2.0 engine.

The car was first introduced in China on June 19th and is positioned as a mid-size PHEV sedan, directly competing with the BYD Qin L DM-i in the local Chinese market.

In terms of dimensions, the car measures 4,918 mm in length, 1,905 mm in width, and 1,495 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,845 mm. In terms of design, this car features a closed front gill, LED light strips, and 19-inch alloy wheels.

Six exterior color options are available: Enamel Blue, Frost Silver, Ink White, Obsidian Black, Misty Grey, and Sky Grey.

The cabin features a 15.4-inch 2.5K infotainment screen, an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, and a head-up display (HUD) on higher trims. Geely's latest Flyme Auto intelligent cockpit system, developed in collaboration with Meizu, is also available.

Built on the Xingrui AI Cloud 2.0 platform, Flyme Auto integrates navigation, real-time OTA updates, and AI voice control with four-zone voice recognition, multi-command interaction, and compatibility with Huawei HiCar and CarLink.

Driver assistance systems include the Geely G-Pilot H3 range with NOA (Navigation on Autopilot) and automatic parking assistance, and the top trim is equipped with a 16-speaker Flyme Sound audio system.

The Geely Galaxy A7 is powered by a 1.5L engine producing 110 hp and an electric motor producing 235 hp.

According to the company, this car can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 7.1 seconds. Fuel consumption is 2.67 L per 100 km (CLTC).

With a full charge and a full tank of fuel, this hybrid has a range of over 2,100 km. Two battery options are expected to be available: 8.5 kWh and 18.4 kWh, with an all-electric range of 70 km and 150 km (CLTC), respectively.
