JAKARTA - After previously highlighting the superiority of the Super Safety feature as evidenced by the 5-star safety rating from Euro NCAP, JAECOO Indonesia is now revealing the essence of JAECOO J7 SHS innovation: Super Hybrid System (SHS).

Behind SHS technology there are three main components developed specifically for this platform: Dedicated Hybrid Engine, Dedicated Hybrid Transmission, and High-Performance Battery. These three components work harmoniously to provide real efficiency, reduce fuel charging frequency, finer acceleration when facing traffic jams, as well as long-distance driving convenience. Both when breaking into daily congestion in the city as well as on a cross-island weekend trip, SHS ensures a responsive, quiet, cost-effective, and comfortable driving experience without compromising driving performance.

The special hybrid engine used by JAECOO J7 SHS with a fifth generation 1.5L turbo capacity with a thermal efficiency of 44.5%, this figure goes far beyond conventional combustion engines, which are generally in the range of 25'30%. This thermal efficiency shows how effectively fuel is converted to energy. As a result, fuel consumption is much more efficient with lower emissions, without lowering vehicle performance.

This component is combined with Dedicated Hybrid Transmission which is designed to maximize the efficiency of electric driving, with EV efficiency of up to 98.5%. This ensures a precise power distribution as well as a smooth transition between hybrid and electric modes, allowing vehicles to adapt dynamically to various driving conditions.

Other components that complement the two components are a high capacity 18.3 kWh battery, which allows JAECOO J7 SHS to travel 100 kilometers in full electric mode based on NEDC testing. This distance is very useful in daily use, especially in urban areas such as Jakarta which is congested and often congested. In low speed and stop-and-go conditions, drivers can fully rely on electric power to drive quiet, emission-free, and cost-effective.

The JECOO J7 SHS battery system is also designed with high safety standards. This battery has been certified IP68, which means it is resistant to water and dust, making it reliable in a variety of environmental conditions. The system is also equipped with a state-of-the-art Battery Management System (BMS) equipped with a fast-response safety mechanism. In the event of a collision, the system is able to cut off electricity in just 2 milliseconds, significantly reducing the risk of thermal disorder and strengthening JAECOO J7 SHS's commitment to driver and passenger safety.

Another advantage that makes JAECOO J7 SHS even more special is its ability to travel long distances. Thanks to the synergy between combustion engines, electric motors, and batteries, this vehicle is capable of traveling more than 1,300 kilometers with one full refueling (60 liters) and a fully charged battery. In a trial conducted from Jakarta to Bali, JECOO J7 SHS managed to cover a distance of 1,377 kilometers, as a clear evidence of the efficiency and durability of SHS systems in the real world. This capability makes it ideal for daily and long-distance travel with a perfect balance between power and efficiency.

SHS works intelligently through four driving modes that automatically adjust the speed and driving force. At velocities 040 km/h, the vehicle runs fully using electric power, ideally for driving in the city. When it reaches 4070 km/hour, the combustion engine starts to activate to charge the battery, while the electric motor keeps driving the wheels in the hybrid serial mode. In the range of 7080 km/hour, the engine and electric motor work in parallel to drive the vehicle. At speeds above 80 km/hour, the system moves to engine dominant mode, while electric motors will provide additional support when needed, for example, when overtaking or climbing.

The intermode transition is very smooth, controlled by smart logic that prioritizes driver energy efficiency and comfort. This system can also adapt to driving: aggressive acceleration will make the engine active faster, while light driving style will prolong the use of EV mode. Whatever the user's driving style, SHS still provides a responsive and gentle experience.
