Jetour X70 Plus Will Launch Next Month In Malaysia, Use Other Names VT9

JAKARTA - Jetour will expand its market in Southeast Asia, one of which is targeting the Malaysian market by introducing the VT9 model.

The car, which has another name X70 Plus on a number of global markets, has required its presence through the official Facebook website "Jetour Auto Malaysia" which was released recently.

Launching from Paultan, Saturday, April 26, the SUV was introduced earlier at the 2024 Malaysian Auto Show and is now preparing to pave the country in the near future.

Jetour VT9 will enter the Segment-D class for the neighboring country market, as well as being a direct competitor to Proton X90 and Chery Tiggo 8 Pro.

It is estimated that this car has not had some changes, while maintaining a length of 4,724 mm, a width of 1,900 mm, a height of 1,720 mm, a wheelbase of 2,720 mm, and a ground clearance of up to 144 mm.

The medium-body SUV will be equipped with a fully chrome window, wide rear light, four exhaust pipes, red exterior lines, rooftop rails, and 19-inch dual-tone rims.

The inside features a 10.25-inch double-wide display panel connected to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, middle shift, six-way driver seat, 50 watt wireless charger, four speakers, to power tailgate.

Speaking of performance, this car will take advantage of the engine developed by Chery with a configuration of 1.5 liters of turbocharged 4-cylinder. This gives 156 ps of power and 230 Nm torque combined with transmission of six twin-clutch accelerations.

This automotive manufacturer from China is still silencing the price in neighboring countries, but it is certain that VT9 will launch at Malaysia's 2025 Autoshow which will take place next month.

In Indonesia, Jetour X70 Plus is offered at a price of IDR 418.8 million. With an exclusive offer, the car is set at a semi-companiment of IDR 396.2 million On The Road Jakarta.
