Portfolio Adds, BYD Will Launch Coupe Sealion 7 SUV In India March 2025

JAKARTA - The well-known brand BYD from China will add to its lineup of models in India, namely the Coupe Sealion 7 SUV which debuts in March.

Quoting from the Autocar India website, Tuesday, January 7, before officially launching in March, the model will later be exhibited at India at the Auto Expo 2025 starting on January 17. Apart from Sealion 7, BYD India will also present other electric vehicles.

The Chinese brand will position Sealion 7 on the Sedan Seal launched last year. This coup-style SUV at first glance has the same design as the Sedan Seal.

On the front, this car has a headlights and a rear light connected to a more aggressive front and rear bumper design. Meanwhile, the inside is also relatively similar.

Details have not been explained, but the car in overseas markets is offered versions of FWD and RWD. Sealion 7 coupe-SUV uses the electric architecture of e-Platform-born 3.0 Evo BYD and is equipped with an innovative Blade battery setup of the brand.

The SUV is sold for two choices of 82.5kWh and 91.3kWh batteries with a maximum range of up to 502 km, a figure that is sufficient and is indeed the same as some current electric car models.

Talking about BYD in Indonesia, currently has four models, the last one is MPV electricity M6. This year, the Chinese brand will launch more new models.
