BMW is Designing a Powerful M2 CS, Here are Its Advantages

JAKARTA - BMW plans to expand the range of high-performance cars from the M division by presenting the M2 CS version or the highest of this entry-level sedan family.

Quoting from Carscoops, Monday, December 9, the model suspected to be the M2 CS was caught on spy cameras with camouflage. Although seen with camouflage stickers, the car does not seem shy about showing its true appearance on the highway.

The car is seen to have a pair of rims with a luxurious gold coating. Then, the M2 CS is adjusted to be more aggressive with a redesigned front bumper and a sharper new splitter.

The changes continue at the rear with a large lip spoiler and a different bumper and diffuser package.

Although the information obtained is only an exterior change, it is estimated that the M2 CS will carry a similar engine to the standard, namely a 3.0 liter twin-turbocharged 6-cylinder but with more power than the standard.

The car has the potential to have power up to 525 hp or could be greater than the rear-wheel drive (RWD) M4 Competition which has 503 hp.

However, the car has the potential to be offered with an eight-speed automatic transmission instead of a six-speed manual. So, BMW engineers have to think hard to make the car fun-to-drive.

Last May, the M2's big brother, the M4, updated the CS type with a sportier appearance and improved dynamic driving characteristics.

The BMW M4 CS is supported by a number of personalization settings and camber settings on the wheels, spring dampers, and anti-roll bars that are specifically made to optimize precise driving style.

The sports car is equipped with an inline 6-cylinder engine that produces up to 550 hp or an increase of 20 hp compared to the M4 Competition Coupe M xDrive with a peak torque of 650 Nm.

This powerful engine is supported by an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic and a specially developed M xDrive all-wheel drive system.

Thus, this sporty sedan can run from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.4 seconds and 0 to 200 km / h in just 11.1 seconds. This special edition M4 can run at a maximum speed of 302 km / h.
