Entering Neighboring Country, New Generation Toyota Camry Is Priced By Segini

JAKARTA - The latest generation Toyota Camry made its debut at the end of last year in the United States (US). In addition, the manufacturer intends to introduce this luxury sedan in several regions including Southeast Asia (ASEAN).

One of these luxury sedans was introduced earlier in Thailand and Singapore. Following the two countries, they are now being offered for the Malaysian market.

Launching from Paultan, Thursday, December 5, the car, known as the XV80 code, is now being exhibited at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2024 which is currently underway.

The standard features of this car include the presence of all-LED headlights, powered front seats, 12.3-inch instrument clusters, panoramic sunsets, to the addition of driving modes consisting of Eco, Normal, and Sport.

In addition, there is also a 12.3-inch infotainment system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and a wired Android Auto, with audio playback done through a nine- speaker JBL sound system.

Regarding the safety system, Camry comes with eight airbags and a number of active safety systems including emergency braking with parking support, adaptive cruise control, lane tracing assist, lane departure, blind spot monitor, 360-degree camera and many more.

Speaking of performance, this ninth-generation Camry has a 4-cylinder gasoline engine with an A25A-FXS of 2.5 liters naturally-assired which produces 188 PS of power at 6,000 rpm and 221 Nm of torque from 3,200 to 5,200 rpm.

With the addition of a 1VM electric motor, its engine produces a total output of 231 ps which is assisted by a front-wheel drive system and CVT transmission and is claimed to have the highest speed of 180 km/hour.

Not only showing off, Toyota also announced its sales period at a price of 248,800 ringgit or equivalent to Rp. 888.1 million and imports from Toyota's factory in Chachoengsao, Thailand.
